Terry Eklund believes all women are beautiful. Her passion is beauty, specifically seeing the God-given beauty of each woman enhanced by the clothing she wears. To that end, Eklund, a DAAP graduate with many years of fashion design experience, is launching her own clothing line.
Gallery 31 in Covington will host Eklund for two events in March. The First Friday Gallery Hop on March 5 will find Eklund welcoming guests alongside her signature piece, "Strength and Dignity" as part of Gallery 31's new show, “Simply Spring”. The opening, from 6pm to 10pm, will include a meet-and-greet reception with additional artists who are currently showing.
On Sunday March 14th, join Teresa and Gallery Director Paula Peake at Gallery 31, from 2pm to 4pm, for an informal tea and lecture on fashion and beauty. Guests will also be able to see Eklund’s full spring line from her label, “Maundy Thursday”. Gallery 31, an arts boutique featuring original art by established regional artists, is open Thursdays and Fridays from 11 am to 4 pm and participates in Covington's First Friday Gallery Hop.
